Obtaining Your Pool Key
With the change to an electronic key system (also referred to as ‘key fobs’) in December 2009, existing residents who did not attend the community social activity will have to arrange to obtain their key fob for the pool (which also includes the restrooms in the pool area) in one of two ways.
- The first method is to contact the management company, Renaissance Community Partners, to schedule a visit to their offices to retrieve your homeowner-assigned key. Their contact information can be found on the Contact page here on the web site.
- Optionally, you may attend the regularly scheduled Homeowner Association monthly meetings. We will be making efforts to ensure we bring the key fobs to the meetings so homeowner’s can obtain their assigned key. If you choose this option, please notify the HOA management company that you will be attending in advance. The HOA meetings are posted on the Calendar and are located conveniently in the Cortina neighborhood.
Why can’t you mail it to me?
In transitioning to the new key system, the HOA board of directors voted to also revise the pool rules based on clarifications and incidents that happened over the past years. It was an opportunity to review the pool rules and clarify some rules for the pool area. In doing so the board wants every homeowner to acknowledge these new rules on behalf of the household. This cannot be done effectively via mail.
What is the new key system?
The new key system is an electronically controlled access system that uses ‘key fobs’ instead of typical keys that we’ve been using. This gives us greater ability to track where the keys are and de-activate lost keys or those from previous homeowners that were not passed along to the new residents. The new keys are required to enter the main pool area as well as both the male and female restrooms located inside the pool gate.
If you notice troubles with the pool key system, please report them immediately to our management company via phone at 480-813-6788 and identify yourself as a resident of Cortina to report the issue.
As always, if you have questions, please feel free to attend the regularly scheduled HOA meetings to have a discussion with the current board of directors and the representatives from the management company.

What if you rent your home to a renter and they need the key. I live in another state and cannot just jump on an airplane and show up in Gilbert to pick up the key?
